The place is broadly divided into two areas- Ernakulam which is a bustling cosmopolitan metropolis and Fort Cochin which is the cultural hub where the hotel is located. Step out of the hotel and you are within walking distance of other attractions like the Chinese fishing nets, said to have been left behind by Chinese traders in the 15th century.
Kathakali Dance Show – In the evening, visit an auditorium to watch the famous dance drama of Kerala, the Kathakali. This dance is characterised by some great story telling, amazing costumes and extensive make-up.

Sightseeing Tour – Today morning you can go for a sightseeing tour to explore the many fascinating highlights of Cochin which include – The Jewish Synagogue in what is locally called the Jew Town, St. Francis Church which is the oldest European Church in India, the Santa Cruz Basilica built in 1557 by the Portuguese, the Dutch Palace, the Spice market and the 15th century Chinese fishing nets believed to have been brought by Chinese traders.
Later drive to Munnar a hill station located 1600 meters above sea level. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, most of which are privately owned. With its sprawling estates, rolling hills, sparkling waterfalls, picture postcard hamlets and undulating valleys, Munnar is an ideal holiday destination.
Upon arrival, check in your hotel and late proceed for a visit to The Tata Tea Museum.
Tea Museum – It houses curious, photographs and machineries, each depicting a turning point that contributed to a flourishing tea industry, as seen today in the region. The museum set up at the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea in Munnar is a fitting tribute to the toils and rigours of its pioneers, who showed utmost determination and were resolute in their efforts to transform Munnar into a major plantation centre of Kerala.
Jeep Safari – You will be undertaking a one and half hour adventurous jeep drive through the Lockhart tea plantations on the slopes of Munnar. The natural hilly slopes provide a fabulous view of the entire area while one trundles through the winding paths of the tea plantation. One can spot rare and colourful species of birds, plants and insects and the calm environment is punctuated by bird calls and whistling winds.

Drive to Periyar an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel.
Spice Plantation – Go on a spice plantation tour today where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed before they reach the supermarkets.

Boating – Today morning, you can enjoy the boat ride in Periyar Lake. Periyar Lake was formed by the construction of the dam across the Mullaperiyar River in 1895. There is a good chance of seeing any of the inhabitants of the reserve on the lake; especially on the morning and late afternoon cruises where animals head for the lake to drink.
Elephant Program – You can enjoy the elephant safari which will take you through the spice plantation where the gentle fresh breeze will completely refresh you!it is seen that the elephant safari has helped the visitor to travel through such difficult terrains where even jeeps can’t venture. In this ride you will taken in the interior of the jungle to enjoy the beautiful hill town , spice gardens and a breath- taking view of the rolling hills draped in lush greenery. These safaris are equipped with a howdah which is a large seat on which they and the visitors sit along with an umbrella over the riders head. The elephant moves slowly and steadily, that’s why this type of safari is ideal in and around the wild regions. Enjoy this wonderful ride which will last for 30 minute. This is the time where you can have an intimate interaction with the elephants.
After the ride you can get more close to the animals by feeding them with bananas. It is wonderful to actually feed these mighty animals especially the smaller ones! But the best part is still yet to come when you make them bath with water and scrub them. Elephant’s love for water will simply keep you engaged in bathing and scrubbing them for the entire day! Now when you have built a rapport with these animals, you will be showered with blessing with their trunks!

Embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or ‘Kettuvalloms’ are luxurious boats with well-appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the palm fringed landscape from your cabins. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it’s the life along the coast that adds a touch of exotica to this experience.
The locals’ travel in canoes and you will find vegetable sellers, fishermen and other traders bringing household goods, door to door in small wooden boats. As you cruise along the backwaters you can ask your captain to stop at villages, paddy fields and other places, en route.
